Currently on 1min 50.Incase people dont know what it is, this is where you do press ups to Moby - Flower.
When they say bring Sally up you push up, when they say bring Sally down you go down and hold. Plenty of examples on YouTube. What's the best way to progress in it? Is it literally just to do the song everyday and keep pushing myself further or am I missing a trick.I might practice holding the lower press up position hold as that seems to be what kills me in the verses. Your objective is to do the full challenge so it sounds smart to keep using the song in your training sessions. While you are training for this type of challenge - endurance of a strength skill - one should keep in mind that the sessions performed will be heavy on a particular pattern. It would be wise to incorporate some complementary exercises like rows or pullups. Another thing to be aware is that fatigue will probably accumulate faster so good food and proper rest will also play an important part. Last but not least, and probably one of the hardest things to do, keep it real.

Like Ido Portal talks about, leave your Ego at the door and listen to your body and practice with quality. With these things in check, one can think about the details of the challenge in order to make it more efficient. A good idea would be to take the movement involved in the challenge, analyze it and define it.By definition I mean to set the specifications of the movement, much like the specifications of the challenge it self.this is where you do press ups to Moby - Flower. When they say bring Sally up you push up, when they say bring Sally down you go down and hold.A possible example using the pushup would be:. Elbows in.
Full scapula protraction at the top. Full scapula retraction at the bottomWith the movement defined, it is time to think about how to go around doing the training it self. Since it's a challenge about skill, the main characteristic is the execution of the same movement pattern over and over, in a non linear fashion. That requires muscle strength and a good myelination of the movement pattern.Every human movement, thought, or feeling is a precisely timed electric signal traveling through a chain of neurons—a circuit of nerve fibers. (2) Myelin is the insulation that wraps these nerve fibers and increases signal strength, speed, and accuracy. (3) The more we fire a particular circuit, the more myelin optimizes that circuit, and the stronger, faster, and more fluent our movements and thoughts becomeI would break down the song in small pieces. Would depend on how comfortable I am with it. If I could to 1 minute and 50 seconds, I would probably use 30 seconds intervals. The song is 3:28 so that would give me 7 short sessions of 30 seconds.
I could now experiment with making these short sessions throughout the day for at least a week. I would do all of them at least once per day, but would repeat the ones I thought were harder if fatigue allowed. I would also vary the order of the sessions.By the end of the week I would stop the Sessions giving my body a few days, depending on fatigue, so that I could give the challenge a try.Cheers and good luck with your challenge!.
